started practicing meditation over 30 years ago after the early part of his life was spent spent struggling with anxiety.
Over the past 20 years he has has shared the practice with thousands of people from Forbes list CEO’s to disadvantaged youth groups, gold medal winning Olympic Athletes to a wide range of charitable organisations, as well as running many retreats each year and the ‘Before Mind’ meditation teacher training course.
He had the idea for the ‘bb4breakfast’ club in 2022, originally intended as a month long online space for people to practice regular non-dogmatic, gentle meditation together with the aim of establishing both a sense of community & a continuity of practice for others. Three years later, simply by word of mouth, it is a thriving group, still run on a donation basis and with the same laid back, light feeling that has always had compassion, connection and equality at its core.

I was exposed to meditation from the age of ten when my dad started a zen practice, meditating every day, so it felt very normal. I first started a practice myself about 15 years later, alongside yoga.
Coming from a background as a doctor, my interest was always with chronic conditions such as Parkinsons and MS, noticing the beneficial impact meditation had from both a physical and psychological perspective. I continue to work in the NHS with both health care professionals and patients - using meditation, mindfulness techniques & yoga to assist both chronic conditions and those working in stressful environments. I have also benefitted myself from the connection that a group practice can bring through the BB4 club and feel a great privilege to share a practice with so many different and yet like minded people.

My journey of sharing yoga and meditation comes from a simple love of the practice and of movement, along with a passion for bringing people together. I am grateful to have been able to teach across various locations and studios for many years and it is a joy and privilege to continue to do so. Initially starting in the fitness industry teaching and tutoring others in a variety of group exercise programmes, I am now dedicated to sharing yoga and meditation to help others find more ease and flow through mind, breath and body. I also tutor my favourite subject, Yoga Sequencing and Flow, on the Yoga Like Water 200-hour teacher training course to help others on their yoga path.

I discovered a deeper connection to yoga about ten years ago when I turned to regular practice to support my mental health through work stress, anxiety, and early motherhood. Over time, I realized my body and mind craved a slower, more grounded way of being, and I wanted to be more present for family life.
Leaving my corporate career to align with these values, I trained as a yoga teacher - as well as studying Perinatal Yoga, and Dan’s 'Before Mind' Meditation Teacher Training - and have shared classes, courses and Rest Retreats ever since. I also teach the importance of looking after our wellbeing to children, sharing playful yoga in Bristol primary schools, and co-teaching on a Children's Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher Training course.
